Company commencement

2015

Our vision established in 2015 remains in place today.

When Projects Assured began in 2015, it was founded with a simple, yet powerful vision – to be Canberra’s premier management consultancy and Canberra’s best place to work. We also defined our mission as being three key elements: (1) Support and Nurture our Staff, (2) Win the Best Work, and (3) Deliver Superior Quality. In our first year we were focused on obtaining challenging and rewarding work for our growing team.

Establishing key measures of success

2016

The establishment of the Projects Assured ‘Win Plan’ was a key turning point.

2016 was a pivotal time in our history, when we defined six key pillars of the business, in order to define and measure our future success. The six pillars are Culture, Service Delivery, Consulting Excellence, Operations Excellence, People Engagement, and Sales and Marketing. The six pillars were defined as a key part of our strategy (‘Win Plan’) and are still used to measure our business today.

Growing the Projects Assured team

2017

In 2017 Projects Assured experienced significant growth.

Our team doubled in size in 2017, with multiple key accounts established to provide our staff with rewarding and interesting engagements. As our business grew, we worked hard to ensure that all six pillars of the Win Plan remained balanced.

Investing in our people and our business

2018

Investment was key in 2018 – investing in our business and processes for our people.

2018 was all about investment at Projects Assured. This included investing in growing our corporate services team; providing better systems and processes to make it easier for our team to focus on what they’re good at: doing great work. As part of the investment in our people care and management, we established the General Management layer within our business, providing our people and our clients with direct support from our Leadership Team.

Maintaining our focus on culture

2019

Ensuring we continue to put our people and culture first.

Ensuring our vision to be Canberra’s Best Place to Work was strengthened within 2019, with Projects Assured continuing to strongly focus on our people and culture. This included providing a new, larger refurbished office to meet the growing needs of our flexible workforce, implementing staff performance feedback into our established professional development processes and implementing heavily in staff well-being as an enduring part of our company. In addition, 2019 saw the launch of our Consultant Development Programme for university graduates as we continue to focus on seeking and retaining the best talent in the Canberra market.

Connectedness, compassion and growth

2020

Despite both global and local challenges, our culture held strong. Through our Community Working Group, we found ways to support our regional NSW neighbours, through such a difficult time in their bushfire recovery. This was just one of the ways we connected, whilst managing working from home through the pandemic lockdowns.

We’re proud that, throughout 2020, we maintained our strong client relationships and were able to keep our team intact. We also onboarded a record number of consultants to deliver new and interesting work, as we continued to grow our business.

We also won the Defence Reserves Employer Support Award for NSW in 2020 – recognition that was close to our hearts and we were very proud to receive.

A record year

2021

Our commitment to continually deliver high-quality outputs and win interesting and meaningful work for our people had us secure several significant service delivery engagements across the public sector, providing our team with more opportunities to be involved in challenging and rewarding projects, and set ourselves up for the years ahead.

In 2021, we officially passed 200+ permanent staff, requiring a restructure to our Corporate Services team and the introduction of our Senior General Manager level.

Another wonderful year for Projects Assured!

The investment in self

2022

Our biggest year for investing in the health and wellbeing of our staff, as our mission to attract and retain Canberra’s best talent and be Canberra’s best place to work continued. We launched our PA7 wellbeing initiatives, such as a quarterly wellbeing day for all staff and a personal goal setting program. We also updated our Consulting Practice Framework, which included the roll-out of our 20-day training curriculum for our Consultant cohort.

Following another year of hard-work and continued success, we needed to reflect on our ‘3 buckets’ – WORK, LIVE, REWARD – and ensure the balance was right. Balance was the key focus in 2022.

Our Management Team created a new mural for our Braddon head office at their offsite in Sydney, with ‘balance’ being the key theme. We can’t wait to see it in 2023!
