We are actively seeking a dynamic and driven individual with significant expertise and experience in financial advisory services to join our team and play a crucial role in propelling the company into its next phase of growth. This role involves bolstering business development efforts, necessitating a strategic approach and leveraging existing networks and extensive knowledge of the Canberra region. 

Responsibilities

As a key member of the Leadership Team at Projects Assured, you will be instrumental in identifying growth opportunities, formulating sales strategies, pursuing new prospects, and conducting comprehensive market research and analysis within the financial sector. Your primary focus will be on cultivating and driving business relationships to grow the financial arm for Projects Assured.  

Key Qualifications

We are seeking an experienced leader with a robust network in Canberra, ideally thriving in a delivery and entrepreneurial sales-driven environment. The ideal candidate possesses: 

Demonstrated expertise in the delivery of financial advisory services, including but not limited to: 

  • Finance strategy 
  • Business partner functions 
  • Cost estimation & cost assurance 
  • Financial analysis and reporting  
  • Financial policy development, review and implementation 
  • Exceptional communication and relationship cultivation skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels of organizations 
  • Outstanding presentation, negotiation, and positive influencing abilities, enabling clear communication of complex ideas tailored to diverse audiences 
  • Proactive and self-driven mindset, underpinned by a results-oriented approach, with the ability to work autonomously to achieve sales and service delivery success 
  • Ability to collaborate with the Management Team to engage with prospective clients, securing new business opportunities, and ensuring efficient follow-ups and reporting on outcomes.

Skills and Attributes 

  • A CPA or tertiary qualifications related to the role 
  • Active AGSVA security clearance is desirable or the ability to gain one.
  • Embody Projects Assured values  
  • Highly developed negotiation and influencing skills 
  • Strong commercial acumen and professional network with long-term relationships with clients 
  • Excellent interpersonal and client management skills 
  • You will likely have over a decade of experience to be at this level
